I'm tired of the phora suppressing and/or banning people over biased shit, and then acting like it's the person's fault. At least admit you don't like the person, rather than hiding behind that. At least admit the inconsistency, if you are going to be inconsistent.

Subjective and personal reasons are an entirely sufficient reason to ban someone. However, I dislike when people try to justify my mistreatment in objective and impartial terms. I prefer when those who use subjective reasoning admit they are using it. Featherston did this, essentially saying they didn't want me there, wanted me out, and it had more to do with them not liking me than me being uniquely disruptive. At least he's honest, and doesn't try to sugar coat it with this pseudo-objective bs.

All I'm saying is that my posts are mainly responses, rumor control, and defensive posts, whereas the people who attack me are trolling just to get a reaction out of me.

You can say "don't react" however this deals with the spreading of personal information, and has ramifications that are bigger than stumble inn. In the case of the opening post, it wasn't necessary but I still had a point to make that is hard to refute. I've seen google pick up gossip on people's names before, and it can do it again. No offense, but I don't want real life people learning about who I am through the trolling of some self-absorbed freak who prowls around forums harassing other posters. We do live in an internet age now, and I will not accept that disingenuous response of "get a life, it is just the internet." In my profession, my life revolves highly around the internet. I don't mind other posters knowing my name, if they are responsible, but I do not want it on public display.

So this has ramifications that are quite big, and if it gets serious enough, as much as I don't want to make an enemy out of SI, if it actually gets on the google results, I may have pull out all of the stops. You can't dictate what is and what is not acceptable speech on a free speech forum, especially on one that you've been banned from. No other industry behaves like this. I post on forums for guns, video games, sports, and all kinds of things. And I never have been treated the way that I have been on the phora and to a lesser extent stumble inn. Never in my life.

Internet political discussion forums are not an "industry." I'd agree that if you were a customer at The Phora, you got some lousy-ass, disgracefully poor customer service. But you weren't a customer, so different standards apply.
