With food or not!?
After the meal, wasn't the question.

Yes, that too.
It fits in, it makes me burp and digest the meal perfectly.

Croats should stick to wine.

Croats should stick to wine.
Depends of the food.If Mediterranean food, fish and spinage, then red wine.
Depends on the person too, I'm a beer type exclusively.

The cheese stands alone
Beer is especially good with nuts, pizza, pickled eggs and pickled sausage. :beerbang:

What the fuck is pickled sausage? I'm a bit fearful of the response.
LOL, a sausage that's been pickled. They're very good. :)

I've never heard of such things.
All the bars around here stock them along with pickled eggs.

This is Canada? Or England?
I've seen pickled eggs in Canada, but not sausages.
Canada. In Alberta just about all the bars stock both pickled eggs and sausages.

Never seen this in Ontario. Granted, Ontario especially southern Ontario isn't really Canada.
Ontario sucks, better "come out to Alberta, weather's good there in the fall"!

Yes, very much however Bobina's don't drink beer so this poses a problem.
There is a beer hall here that has a menu wherein they match a beer to your food choice, I want to go but I don't want the beer :(
...and you claim to be Irish.

Depends on what you're eating.
Did someone already say that?

Depends on what you're eating.
And also the type of beer...

Of course, that's usually (and hopefully) common knowledge.
This poll is in regards to meals and beer in general, even if it's the right combination

...you all need to go to that beer hall in Dublin then. Case solved.

No. Food only takes-up good drinking space. I can go an entire week-end without touching food if I'm on the sauce.

It depends. If you go to Germany and you have sauerkraut with eisbein and a sausage, I would suggest a good lager. If you eat there it would be advisable to visit a local brewer that has his own restaurant. The beer is not made by jewish multinationals like Warsteiner, Beck e tutti quanti; but by decent people that work hard and don't depend on Turks to make the beer.
If you just want to have a snack I suggest a portion of Gouda cheese (cut into blocks), portion of salami (cut in blocks), nacho's with a spicy dip sauce, paprika chips, peanuts (in the shell or without), spaghetti bolognese and that's about it.
Don't combine beer with pizza, that is disgusting and it shows signs of very bad taste. Yuck :disagree:

Yes, I can. I'm 19 years of age and in Flanders it is allowed to drink beer when you are 16. Strong spirits can be drunk when you are eighteen. The only place where I can't have a beer is in the JewSA.
