Well, I've just finished editing my first YouTube video. Will be posting it, tonight.
I've learned quite a few things from this experience, namely that Windows Movie Maker's effects can't hide my shaky camera and lousy lenses.
Does anyone know of a better production program? I'll probably be making another video next week

I made one about Ron Paul but removed it. I think he could do without my support. :ameritard:

You could try Sony Vegas. Apparently that's one of the best programs you can find. I'm not sure if it could hide your shaky camera. The best way to stop a camera from shaking is using a stationary(?). The crappy lenses can be masked away, I think.
The program itself is quite big and it is a trial version, but eh... you should be able to work around that if you know what I mean ;)

Thanks.
I'll use a steady-cam next time.

I wish I could find one program that would do everything (audio, video, convert formats). :(
I use Cyberlink Power Director (http://www.cyberlink.com/multi/products/main_4_ENU.html) for the video. It's easy to use, I just import video loops, hit the 'Magic Movie Wizard' and it arranges everything in random order (you can drag and drop to re-arrange it).
To edit audio I use Sony SoundForge (http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/products/soundforgefamily.asp). I use an older version (7.0) which does everything I need it to do. No need to buy the new one for $300.
Super (http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html) (free!) comes in handy to convert video & audio to different formats. If you have a video clip and want to make an audio file of it, you can do that with Super. A lot of video editors can't handle Quicktime video so Super can be used to convert those clips to .avi.
