Tomorrow night, midnight EST, IFC: the too-rarely-shown Ken Russell neo-Victorian sex-horror classic LAIR OF THE WHITE WORM. Two thumbs up, one turgid willie shaking back and forth.
Consider yourself apprised.
Then - quite serendipitously - at 2am on TCM, a drive-in trash double feature: Roger Corman's 1957 cheezfest ATTACK OF THE CRAB MONSTERS and 1959's even-more-surreal THE KILLER SHREWS.
If your idea of a recipe for horror is a thousand-dollar budget, one indoor-set location, German shephards with rubber monster-masks on that don't always stay on, and James (Roscoe P Coltrane) Best as the hero....welcome to Flavor Country, pilgrim.
