Here is a story that happened right here in Reno. Look at the stupid looks on the Mexican's faces when the guy gets done with the flags.
I'm gonna find this guy and buy him a drink.

This afternoon we received a call from a viewer who said a business near downtown Reno was flying a Mexican flag above an American flag... which is in fact illegal.

This, after photos and comments about the flag were posted on Craigslist this morning. When we were able to have a photographer go and check everything out we found the story to be true.

It also didn t take long before the situation provoked a strong reaction. We are now going to show you , unedited, what happened. Click on the video to see what happened.

I saw the news this morning and I congratulate you on showing a video of a vet tearing down the Mexican flag as it hung over the U.S. flag at a local business. The law is the law. We all have to abide by it. It's about time someone took a stand. Maybe we should picket at the courthouse and voice our displeasure over the ways things are going. We have to be politically correct and not offend anyone and yet we are stepped on and expected to do nothing. I would love to shake that man's hand and thank him for standing up for America. Regardless of where we come from, we are all Americans. I accept it, why can't they? God Bless America.

Good job! How long before this is considered a hate crime?

The hispanic store owner who witnessed the incident would not make comment on camera but told krnv over the phone that he was flying the flag as a mark of solidarity to the hispanic community. Pro-immigration protests have been ongoing in the area all weekend after raids were conducted by authorities in the area last week.

I'm pretty much giving up on it all. All this says to me is that Mexicans, unlike Americans, can rally behind their flag and be a people, while we go 20 different directions. I don't think Americans have the will nor desire to do anything about the mess, the debate is dominated by the righteous who don't bother looking at the overall picture.

I personally regard Mexico as being more of a nation than America. Mexicans clearly have a greater sense of nationhood, community and kinsmanship than most Americans.

You're right in some aspects, but they do have thier own issues with Indians in the southern parts. That, and as a society, they are very much divided by class and race as much as we are. They just don't make as much of a political issue as we do, at least not the race part.

Of course, we had higher standards for what constituted a nation back then. Standards have fallen, and so have we.

It's hard for me to think of an "American" as being anything other than any swinging dick that crawls, walks or slithers into the country and gets citizenship due to mass immigration, multiculturalism and consumerism. So in effect everyone on the planet is an American, except they haven't all set foot in here yet.
