I went all the way thru Step 8, with no errors
I am on Step 9 now http://www.tanguay.info/web/tutorial...tallSubversion T U T O R I A L Setup a PHP Development Environment on Windows XP With Apache, PHP 5, MySQL 5, SQLite, Eclipse, Subversion, PHPMyAdmin, and Datapod 1. Install Apache 2. Install 7-Zip 3. Install PHP 4. Install MySQL 5. Install phpMyAdmin 6. Install Java 7. Install Eclipse 8. Install PHPEclipse 9. Install Subversion 10. Install TortoiseSVN 11. Install Tortoise Plug-in 12. Install Datapod 13. Setup Repository 14. Setup Eclipse Project and Test SVN 15. Create a web site with Datapod 9. Install Subversion Subversion allows you keep a tightly controlled repository of your files of all your changes, a good idea if you work by yourself and necessary if you work in a team. --- I also installed Frontpage and Dreamweaver web editors, but they use IIS by default; and I am now sure how to use them with Apache, right now. If any of you want to go through this Tutorial, if you have any problem(s); post them here, and I will try to help you out... Example: One point in the Tutorial said to copy or move some file to C:/windows But someone commented on the bottom that if you have XP or XP with service pack 2 or something like that, to put that file in C:/windows/system32 instead... something like that So if you have any problem(s) with this Tutorial, post the problem here and I'll try to help you out... over and out |

Ok, I think I can work with Dreamweaver and Apache with no problem...
I just open the index.php file and start working... I'm not sure why I got so confused before. My next step is to start learning how to create databases with mysql and learn php. I also need to learn how to properly install and use wwwthreads http://www.wwwthreads.com/ I'm gonna take a break and start up again next week God Willing |
