Witness: Someone let gunman inside Colorado movie theater

AURORA, CO -- A man who was at the Colorado movie theater where a dozen people were killed this morning, says he saw the gunman.

He says he thinks someone deliberately let the gunman inside once the movie started.

Here's what he told TV station KCNC this morning live on their newscast.

"As I was sitting down to get my seat, I noticed that a person came up to the front row, the front right, sat down, and as credits were going, it looked like he got a phone call. He went out toward the emergency exit doorway, which I thought was unusual to take a phone call. And it seemed like he probably pried it open, or probably did not let it latch all the way. As soon as the movie started, somebody came in, all black, gas mask, armor, and threw a gas can into the audience, and it went off, and then there were gunshots that took place."

Yes of course, but these people are attending a convention and masking like that is perfectly acceptable in that context. The same would apply to the renfair things you do or used to attend.

I'm talking about grown men wearing costumes in public to go to a movie. Maybe I am out of it, but I find that a little strange. I never did get into the Rocky Horror cult that probably spawned the practice either.

I could excuse someone in their late teens or early twenties, but I would have serious reservations about anyone over the the age of 25 or 26 engaging in super-hero dress up.

BTW, I have a friend whose older(about 10 Years) brother used to be a policeman in a large city down south. According to this former cop, every time they arrested some perv for child molestation, they always found a bunch of Star Wars or Star Trek shit back at the perv's crib. This fact turned into a sick joke at the PD, there are two kinds of child molesters: 1) The Star Trek kind. 2) The Star Wars kind.

Yes it was the same guy. He bought a ticket, then went out pretending to make a call, propped the door, and went to get his guns.

If he wanted to do the damage and not be caught, he'd have used pipe bombs, poison, etc. Far more damage can be done with those weapons, because you can get away to do it repeatedly. With slow acting poison, you might have a month long head start, in fact. Plenty of explosives and poisons. can be contrived with stuff that is in any kitchen or pantry. The only thing that can stop a guy who's intent on such things, in a timely fashion, is a gun in the hands of a witness, along with the will and skill to hit the punk.
