Republican presidential candidate Tom Tancredo announced Thursday that he is dropping out of the race, and that he will endorse rival Mitt Romney for the GOP nomination.

He made his announcement at a news conference in downtown Des Moines, two weeks before Iowa begins the presidential nominating process with the caucuses Jan. 3.

He was a one-trick-pony, and with endorsing Romney obviously Tancredo felt only he could tackle the issue. Fuck him.

1) His official withdrawal statement didn't endorse Romney.

2) If he did later his thinking is probably along the lines that only Romney is gonna beat Giuliani and that he thinks Romney is slightly better on it then Rudy is. I personally don't agree but I wouldn't tear him apart over this.

Tancredo knows that this thing is social, and he is not part of the club. He is now kissing the ring like a coward for his 20 pieces of silver no doubt..perhaps a radio show on Romney's clear channel networks.

Come to think of it, that must have been what Keyes was running for from the beginning.

To put this in perspective, Tancredo didn't have an Iowa base to give away.

Chances are, that two percent will break evenly between Ron Paul and Thompson.
Since they're die-hards I'd say they'll lean towards Ron Paul.

I am guessing that he was hoping Bay (suspected Mormon) might get work with the Romney camp, as some sort of payment for services in the pre-nump sense.
