In the SB, I observed the term 'the Peculium' and how the Jews had lost it. In so doing, I was merely repeating a commonplace of Protestant teaching, which I would think would be well known to, say, Presbyterians and CI alike.
The following terms are related: 'Peculium' (a token of chosen-ness), 'The Peculiar institution' (Slavery), and 'The Peculiar people' (The Jews). Are 'The Jews' still the chosen people? Do they have the peculium or have they 'lost it'? Are there any Protestants left in the world? Can anyone with a CI background expound this doctrine? It is easy to verify what I say via Google. So go forth, preachers. On behalf of your sect, expound to me the doctrine of the Peculium, as it relates to Slavery and Jews. That is the entire topic of this thread. Have you never heard these terms before? Do you even know what they mean, in the plainest English and Latin? (I should mention the classic Anglican exposition is by Charles Leslie, and a full exposition is contained in this work, attacking race mixing (well, marrying persons of a different religion anyway): http://books.google.com/books?id=zn4OAAAAQAAJ |

The Jews seem very peculiar to me. Weird rituals, heavy persecutions such as the Holocaust, special state of Israel which is the only Jewish State in the world..

So far so good on mimicking the Hagee party line. Now what does that have to do with the institution of slavery as understood in 19th century Protestant America?

Religious belief or lack thereof only divides us.

Please tell me that you know 'our' is the possessive form of the nominative plural personal pronoun, 'we.'
