Mmmmmhhh. I wouldn't say so.

Nicholas Cage is a pretty good actor because he fits into any role. He can play a mob boss, police officer, good houseman, murderer, etc. But he's definitely not the best.

Nic' cage is very wooden in this film, although I did find it entertaining from the perspective that the supply of arms to Africa probably over the last 20 years probably occurred in a similar way the film depicts.

Would I recommend it? Yes if there nothing else.

Great dilemma in the film too, when he has to resist shagging two women....

That's because he plays them all exactly the same. Moody, depressed, nice guy who's sort of creepy with awkward dramatic pauses. I liked 8mm and Bringing Out the Dead, I just hate when he does action movies.
Haven't seen Honeymoon in Vegas nor Leaving Las Vegas.

Matchstick Men. That is one of the few movies that will stay in my memory till I'm dead. Great fucking movie.
